Pineapple cake

The packaging in Taiwan is often very impressive, it may be the Chinese characters that add a certain flair, I am not sure. The box pictured above contained traditional pineapple pastries which look and taste like something between a cake and a sweet. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes but what they all seem to have in common is a pineapple gel centre with a pastry exterior.
