Cyclist in Yuanlin

I visit Yuanlin again today but this time leave the car at Dacun station by the windmill. Yuanlin station is the next stop southbound. I buy a return ticket for NT28$ from the ticket counter and once on the train it takes just a few minutes. The shops surrounding Yuanlin station seem quite up-market compared to what I have seen so far and window shopping can be done in comfort even during heavy downpours as here the shops are set back in an arcade-like construction. Generally there are no pavements (except in the arcades) so pedestrians mingle with the rest of the traffic. However everyone is surprisingly calm and laid back despite the chaos and I don't think I heard a single horn blown.
