Gekard

This lizard or is it a gecko posed for me this afternoon. These normally nervous and agile creatures are difficult to capture as they are very quick and well camouflaged. I was delighted when this one froze in its tracks and remained immobile even as the camera moved in closer. Only an eye swiveling in its head inspecting me showed any movement. I was a bit disappointed with the photo as the scene was perfect but that was no doubt due to a new camera which I am unfamiliar with.
