Qixi 七夕

Today is Qi-xi (七夕) or 'The night of sevens' aka 'Magpie festival' or Tanabata (Japan) which falls on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month in the Chinese calender. As the day is determined by the lunar calender it varies from year to year. It is sometimes compared to St. Valentines day but not quite so commercialized and I am given a beautiful heart-shaped cake to celebrate it with.
