City planners II

This walkway gives an old looking tree a fine sculptural feel making walking in a city much more interesting.

Today I find more good examples of city walkways in Taichung, so I feel I must take back some of my remarks regarding Taiwan planners. I even encounter an example of a vertical garden complete with flowers clinging to the side of a department store. It was rather like a carpet tacked onto the side of a building making me think that I prefer my vegetation on the horizontal. Still it takes courage and great effort to create such a garden and trimming can also not be easy so I give it 9/10.
