Smart ads

When advertising goes too far it has exactly the opposite effect. I had been looking at smartphones recently and the Samsung Note II had caught my eye. Then I came across this giant Samsung ad plastered across an interesting building in Taichung. The ad completely destroys what is quite a nice bit of architecture and for that reason alone I would boycott Samsung. At least that makes life easier, now I only have to choose between iPhone, Nokia, HTC and Motorola!


... and there is no getting away from it. It is basically environmental pollution that should be banned or at least kept under some sort of control. Do we want these massive corporations screwing up the world we live in!

When I look at the lights of NY it does make me think again however and the Samsung ad was certainly very cleverly done, in fact it is a complete mystery to me how it was done. Unless the window glass was pre-printed with the ad. Changing it can also be no easy task unless it is somehow digitally projected onto the glass.

Whatever it is still an eyesore in my view.
